NAWIC Opens to Submissions for Prestigious Annual Awards
Creators of innovative construction projects and corporations at the forefront of transformation encouraged to enter national competition
Fort Worth, Texas — March 27, 2025 — The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has announced the categories and requirements for its 2025 NAWIC national awards. These prestigious awards celebrate innovative projects, outstanding companies and transformative leaders in the industry – and acknowledge exceptional work by skilled professionals who often challenge conventional norms in the field.
The awards are open to all U.S. construction firms; NAWIC membership is not required to enter.
Awards:
- NAWIC Project Excellence Awards
The 2025 NAWIC Project Excellence Awards recognize outstanding achievements in construction projects, highlighting innovation, quality, and leadership. The awards honor exceptional projects led by industry professionals and set new benchmarks for excellence.
The awards are open to all U.S. construction firms and multiple entries are allowed. Projects must have been substantially completed between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, in the 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., or U.S. Territories.

- Civil/Heavy Highway
- Commercial
- Institutional
- Residential
Projects are judged by an independent panel of industry professionals based on criteria such as innovation, safety, sustainability, budget/value, and notable features.
- Corporate Leadership Award
Awarded to an organization that serves as a catalyst for change while cultivating a culture that brings about advancement for the AEC industry.
The company ensures diversity in leadership and promotes diversity in its workforce with specific initiatives for equity. It engages underrepresented groups creating opportunities for diverse contractors, and tracks progress with measurable metrics. Additionally, the company fosters community involvement, aligning its efforts with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles to create positive social and economic impacts.
Deadline to submit entries, for either award, is May 15, 2025.
