NAWIC Opens to Submissions for Distinguished Annual Leadership Awards

Exceptional leaders in the construction industry encouraged to enter national competition

Fort Worth, Texas — March 27, 2025 — The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has announced the categories and requirements for its 2025 NAWIC national leadership awards. These prestigious awards celebrate excellence in the construction trades and transformative leaders in the industry – and acknowledge outstanding work by skilled professionals who often challenge conventional norms in the field.

The awards are open to all U.S. construction firms and industry leaders; NAWIC membership is not required to enter.

Awards:

  • 2025 Tradeswoman of The Year Award

The Tradeswoman of the Year Award recognizes a tradeswoman who excels in her craft, demonstrates leadership, and advocates for women in the industry. Nominees should show excellence in her trade, leadership, and advocacy for other tradeswomen. The award also considers the nominee’s impact on the industry and how she supports and mentors other women in the field.

  • Champion of Progress Award

Acknowledges trailblazing individuals who identified a problem and proactively challenged conventional norms to provide transformative and impactful solutions that advance diversity, equity and inclusion in the construction industry.

Deadline to submit entries, for either award, is May 15, 2025.
