Bridging Tribal and Urban Jobsites: Indigenous-Led Strategies

This convening panel from International Native Women in Trades (INWIT) and NAWIC creates a dedicated space for Indigenous tradeswomen to share culturally specific resources, address tribal, and urban jobsite challenges, and strengthen professional networks. Experienced Indigenous journeywomen will discuss workforce retention strategies, mentorship models that honor ancestral values, and integrating traditional leadership principles into modern construction practice. Participants will hear real-world approaches, engage in Q&A, and leave with a tangible directory of Indigenous-led support systems, practical mentorship and retention actions, and commitments for increased visibility and community resilience across the trades.
