NAWIC Position on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At the 2025 February board meeting, the NAWIC Board of Director’s voted unanimously to approve this statement.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has long supported efforts to eliminate
discrimination and promote an inclusive, equitable industry where all individuals—regardless of
background—have the opportunity to thrive.

As the construction industry evolves, NAWIC reaffirms its commitment to fostering a workplace culture
that:
• Values diverse perspectives to drive innovation and industry growth.
• Expands access to opportunities for women and underrepresented groups.
• Advocates for fair and equitable policies that support workforce development.

NAWIC believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not only ethical imperatives but also critical
factors in the long-term success of our industry. As such, we will continue to support policies, programs,
and partnerships that strengthen equal access to career pathways, leadership opportunities, and
economic success for all.

Our association remains committed to ensuring construction reflects the strength and diversity of the
communities it serves—not just today, but for the future of the industry.
