Future Leader of the Year Award

Submission Period: May 13th-June 10th

The NAWIC Future Leader of the Year Award recognizes outstanding NAWIC members in their first two years of membership who have demonstrated exceptional engagement, emerging leadership, and a meaningful commitment to advancing the mission of NAWIC and the construction industry.

Entrants

  • The nominee must be a current NAWIC member in good standing
  • As of May 1 of the current year, the nominee must have been a member of NAWIC for at least 1 year

A winning entrant must demonstrate:

  • Active participation in NAWIC activities, including meetings, committees, and events, within their first two years of membership
  • Emerging leadership skills and initiative at the chapter, regional, or national level
  • Specific contributions that have positively impacted their chapter or advanced the mission of NAWIC
  • Dedication to professional growth and the goals of the broader construction industry

Deadline

  • 2026 submissions deadline: June 10th
  • All materials must be submitted via Sessionboard. Submissions sent via email, phone, shared drive, fax, or post will not be accepted
  • Deadline extensions and exceptions will not be granted

Review Process

  • All eligible entries are evaluated by an independent panel of industry professionals
  • Jurors review submissions independently before convening to discuss and select recipients
  • Contact from applicants or their supporters to jurors is strictly prohibited

Recognition

Award recipients will be announced and honored at NAWIC’s Annual Conference. Recipients will receive additional details with their selection notification.
