1. Purpose. The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is committed to thoughtful, responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in the workplace. The purpose of this Policy is to establish a prohibition against the use of such AI note takers (AI Note Takers) in NAWIC meetings.
This policy and related guidelines (Policy) apply to all NAWIC staff, consultants, members, vendors, and volunteers (collectively Users) and prohibits the use of AI Note Takers in performing NAWIC-related work or supporting NAWIC business operations. This prohibition applies regardless of location and whether the use is on NAWIC equipment and systems, or personal or third-party devices.
This Policy does not apply to activities that are unrelated to performing work in support of NAWIC business operations.
2. Violations.
a. Users are expected to promptly disable or remove any AI Note Takers from NAWIC meetings or activities. Users should contact NAWIC’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) if they become aware of any violations of this Policy.
b. Reports made under this section will be investigated as directed by the CEO or their designee. Users must cooperate with any such investigation.
c. NAWIC has the sole discretion to make any exceptions to this Policy provided any exception is determined on a case-by-case basis and the exception is limited to once per determination.
d. Violations of this Policy may result in disciplinary or other appropriate action.
