Professional Development & Education Award

Submission Period: May 13th-June 10th

The NAWIC Professional Development & Education Recognition Award recognizes a NAWIC member or chapter that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their own professional growth while actively advancing the education and development of others within the construction industry.

Entrants

  • Open to individual NAWIC members in good standing or NAWIC chapters
  • The nominee may be self-nominated or nominated by another member
  • As of May 1 of the current year, the nominee or chapter must have been part of the NAWIC federation for a minimum of 3 years

A winning entrant must demonstrate:

  • Exceptional commitment to personal professional growth through certifications, continuing education, or industry training
  • Active contribution to the education and knowledge sharing of peers through mentoring, teaching, or development of educational programs
  • Measurable impact on workforce development, member growth, or the advancement of women in construction
  • Leadership and advocacy in supporting professional development initiatives within NAWIC or the broader industry

Deadline

  • 2026 submissions deadline: June 10th
  • All materials must be submitted via Sessionboard. Submissions sent via email, phone, shared drive, fax, or post will not be accepted
  • Deadline extensions and exceptions will not be granted

Review Process

  • All eligible entries are evaluated by an independent panel of industry professionals
  • Jurors review submissions independently before convening to discuss and select recipients
  • Contact from applicants or their supporters to jurors is strictly prohibited

Recognition

Award recipients will be announced and honored at NAWIC’s Annual Conference. Recipients will receive additional details with their selection notification.
