Our Goals

Engagement

Create interactive social media challenges, video messages, and personalized outreach to connect with members and inspire active participation.

Education

Develop “New Member’s Corner” videos and other resources to guide members on navigating NAWIC at the National, Regional, and Chapter levels.

Outreach

Share tips, reminders, and membership benefits through newsletters, snail mail flyers, and creative campaigns to keep members informed and involved.

Connection

Facilitate first-timer orientations, icebreakers, and mini-games at the Annual Conference to build relationships and enhance the member experience.

Recognition

Design contests and initiatives to celebrate member contributions and promote leadership within the NAWIC community.

ONE OF A KIND COMMITTEE!

Goals for the Coming Year:

  • INTRODUCE our members to an ENGAGED Membership Committee through purposeful touch-base.
  • NEW MEMBER’S CORNER: < 2 min “How To” & “What to Know” videos on… how to log in, tips & tricks, differences between National, Regional, and Chapter levels (multiple items to cover), benefits of forums & AC, “What’s What,” and “Who’s Who” (at least 3 per month).
  • PODCAST: (4) person host (this committee), allowing for rotating host episodes and multi-host episodes (Name TBD). Hosts: Cait Lowe, (3) TBD. Special episodes from Forum, AC, Special Events, etc.
  • REGULAR SNAIL MAIL FLYERS: Recruiting tips & tricks (for Chapter POCs or entire BOD mailers), “What Is” (e.g., WIC Week, Block Kids, Perks of Membership), and reminders (Forums, AC, etc.).
  • MONTHLY TOUCH BASE: Regional & Chapter Membership Chairs (contact lists provided by others).
  • ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT SOCIAL MEDIA GAMES: TikTok, Instagram Stories; invite video challenges, tips & tricks, and active participation (responses sent to membership email, Cait).
  • ANNUAL CONFERENCE: Breakout mini-games (15-30 min) like “Getting to Know Each Other,” fun photos, and icebreakers. This committee facilitates the First Timer Orientation Meeting (AC).
  • LINK IN NEWSLETTERS, Nationwide: This committee provides content for regional and national newsletters via a link (e.g., polls, challenges, photo contests). Ideally, this link is also included in Chapter newsletters.
