NAWIC Position title: 2019-2020 Past President Puget Sound Chapter 60. I will be Board of Director for the same chapter 2020-2021. I’m the current Co-chair for Nation PD&E and PNW Regional PD&E Chair.

Tell us a little bit about your career and current position.
I’ve been in construction contracting for 24 years, worked for a subcontractor and 2 general contractors. The past year, I moved into construction consulting and project management services side of the construction business.

How long have you been a NAWIC member, and how did you learn about NAWIC?
I’ve been a NAWIC member since 2016. I learned about NAWIC from a member who was one of our subcontractors on my project.

How has NAWIC helped you in your career?
It has helped me understand the different careers of women in construction outside of Operations. It’s great to know what other women in construction has accomplished, as well as their challenges that helped them rise to the top.

What is the best part about being a NAWIC member?
It’s like being with your family. I feel like I belong because I can talk and express myself without being judged.

Why do you consider NAWIC to be a great organization?
It provides an opportunity for women in different diverse groups of the construction industry to come together and celebrate experiences while learning from each other.
