Tell us a little bit about your career and current position.

As an Assistant Project Manager, I manage all the moving parts and pieces on a project from beginning to end including but not limited to:

• Assign Subcontractors/vendors and issue their scope specific subcontracts
• Ensure the materials are ordered and schedule the deliveries onsite
• Assist the Project Manager with the schedule to ensure that the correct individuals are onsite when needed.
• Work with the Architects/Engineers to resolve questions/issues
• Communicate directly with the client on the progress of the work and their satisfaction with the final product.

How long have you been a NAWIC member, and how did you learn about NAWIC?

I have been a member of NAWIC since March of 2019. I first learned about NAWIC in 2015 through a colleague who was the General Contractor on the project that my company at the time was a subcontractor on. I was then re-introduced to NAWIC in February of 2019 through a coworker at the time.

How has NAWIC helped you in your career?

NAWIC has helped me develop my voice and has given me the confidence to speak up among my peers for what I believe in. NAWIC has also opened my eyes to see the opportunities for growth and potential for myself and other women in the industry.

What is the best part about being a NAWIC member?

The best part about being a Member of NAWIC is the Mentorship of other women in the industry and the invaluable knowledge that they have gained through their experiences and their ability to influence others. The abundance of educational resources have had a huge impact on my life and career.

Why do you consider NAWIC to be a great organization?

NAWIC is a great organization to be a part of because through NAWIC you are able to meet phenomenal women from all over the nation that are in the construction industry that are at your disposal to network with and learn from.
