About Speaker

Sara is the founder and principal of Studio 360, an architecture and interior design firm based in New York City. Originally from Iran, Sara grew up in Paris, France, where she earned her Master’s degree in Architecture. After graduating, she relocated to the United States to work at the United Nations and further her career, eventually earning a two-year business degree from Columbia University. Sara made history as the first woman to serve as President of the AIA Bronx chapter since its founding in 1931. She is passionate about creating flexible, innovative business models that empower women, offering remote and flexible work environments at Studio 360 to support architects balancing career and family life without a gap in their careers. With over 20 years of experience, Sara is an internationally recognized, award-winning architect and interior designer. She has successfully designed and completed high-profile international projects and was awarded the Best Single Family Home Design Award at the AIA-BBQ in 2018. Sara’s work has been featured in leading publications such as Architectural Digest, Dwell, Architect, and Home Remodeling. Sara is also passionate about education and is an adjunct professor at both Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and the City College of New York (CCNY) School of Architecture in Manhattan. In addition to teaching, she is a frequent speaker at architectural and interior design conferences. In 2023, she co-authored the Amazon best-selling book “City Shapers”. Her commitment to community service has been recognized with multiple NY Mayoral Service Recognition Awards in 2015, 2019, and 2024. For the past decade, Sara has also been actively involved with the Women Foundation, IAWF, where she mentors young women. In 2023, she became the co-chair of the New York chapter, leading mentorship efforts and fostering a supportive network for women in New York City. Outside of her professional life, Sara enjoys traveling the world with her husband and two sons, drawing inspiration from the diverse cultures and environments she explores.
